IIUM Rector presents “Lifetime Outstanding Achievement Award” to ISESCO Director General

Dr Zaleha Kamarudin, Rector of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IUUM), presented the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, with the “Lifetime Outstanding Achievement Award”, at the opening of the 7th General Conference of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW). The Award rewards outstanding personalities and leaders with pioneering contributions to educational, scientific and cultural fields.

For the record, this Award had been granted to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, in 2007 and to the Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Dr José Graziano da Silva, in 2015.
