ISESCO offers condolences to Republic of Indonesia for victims of Sunda Strait Tsunami

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) extended its condolences to the Republic of Indonesia for the victims of the Tsunami that hit, at dawn last Sunday, the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra Islands due to a volcanic eruption. According to a latest official statement by the National Agency for Disaster Management, more than 429 people were killed and other 1400 injured, and hundreds of homes destroyed.

On this occasion, Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, ISESCO Director General, stated that the Organization shares grief in this sorrowful accident with the Indonesian people, beseeching Allah Almighty to shower the martyrs with mercy and grant soon recovery to the injured.
