Signing of cooperation agreement between ISESCO and the project for the glorification of the holy city at the Association for District Centers of Makkah Al-Mukarramah
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the project for the glorification of the holy city at the Association for District Centers of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, today in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signed a cooperation agreement.
The agreement was signed by H. R. H. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Province, President of the Association, and Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, ISESCO Director General.
The agreement aims at promoting the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the stewardship of the Two Holy Mosques; establishing their security; ensuring the safety of their visitors; serving their pilgrims; uniting Muslims; enriching the concepts and values of the holy city glorification in the fields of, inter alia, research, science, education and media; and creating a common culture for ISESCO Member and Observer States on how Muslims deal with the sanctities and holy sites, and glorify the holy city.
The agreement also provides for cooperation between the two parties in five fields, namely culture, media and communication, scientific research, education, and training.
