MoU signed between ISESCO and UNA
A Memorandum of Understanding between the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) was signed, today in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The memorandum was signed by Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, ISESCO Director General, and Mr Issa Khaireh Robleh, UNA Director General.
The memorandum provides for cooperation between the two parties in implementing and funding projects, programmes, and activities in the fields of common interest, especially publicizing the efforts of ISESCO and UNA in their areas of competence; addressing the discourse of extremism, zealotry, and hatred; spreading the values of moderation and middle stance; and presenting the true image of Islam and Islamic culture especially outside the Islamic world. The memorandum also provides for coordination and cooperation between ISESCO and UNA in implementing the activities that aim to activate the role of women and the youth in media and communication, promote cultural and media initiatives that aim to achieve mutual goals, and support the centers and institutes specialized in media and communication training.
