King of Bahrain receives ISESCO Director General
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain, today at Safriya Palace in Manama, received the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, and the delegations taking part in the ceremony marking the launch of Muharraq celebration as the Arab region’s Capital of Islamic Culture for 2018.
During this audience, ISESCO Director General expressed his thanks to King Hamad for his high patronage of the celebration of Muharraq, the Arab region’s Capital of Islamic Culture for 2018, and for his country’s support for ISESCO and joint Islamic action.
Dr Altwaijri also commended the special relations between ISESCO and the competent parties in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and offered His Majesty the Shield of the celebration.
For his part, King Hamad welcomed his country’s guests and hailed the special work ISESCO carries out in its areas of competence.
The audience was attended by Sheikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
