ISESCO Educational Centre in Malaysia organizes award ceremony for winners in Arabic-speaking Short Educational Films Contest – 2017 edition
As part of celebrating the World Arabic Language Day and enhancing the Malaysian students’ Arabic-speaking skills, the ISESCO Educational Centre in Malaysia, on Tuesday 16 January 2018, organized an award ceremony for the winners of the 2017 edition of the Arabic-speaking Short Educational Films contest, in cooperation with the Malaysian Education Ministry and the International Islamic University College Selangor, Malaysia. The ceremony was attended by the University’s Rector, Dr Ab Halim Bin Tamuri, and senior officials at the Malaysian Education Ministry.
Organized by the Center for the second consecutive year, this contest is one of the most attractive events to the participation by the youth from institutes and universities in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Moreover, it has become a new platform for linguistic creativity and an opportunity to practice the Arabic language beyond the confines of classroom-based methods.
The contest saw the participation of 98 films which were jointly prepared by primary, high schools and higher education students from Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
