ISESCO to hold international congress in the Gambia on Viruses and Vacicnes in Tropical Areas
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), in collaboration with the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) and the University of the Gambia, is holding the 1st International Congress Gambia on Viruses and Vaccines in Tropical Areas, in Sere Kunda, Republic of the Gambia, on 11-12 October 2017.
The congress is aimed to discuss the scientific challenges pertaining to tropical disease control, review the progress made in the development of vaccines for viruses and improvement of the health situation in tropical areas, and facilitate the exchange knowledge and expertise in this field among scientists and experts.
A host of researchers, healthcare professionals, veterinarians, vaccine manufactures and public health officials will take part in the Congress.
Dr Foued El Ayni, Programmes Specialist at the Directorate of Science and Technology, will represent ISESCO in this event.
