UNESCO Director General offers ISESCO Director General a copy of “The Different Aspects of Islamic Culture” Collection

The Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Mrs Irina Bokova, today afternoon, at the Organization’s headquarters in Paris, offered a copy of “The Different Aspects of Islamic Culture” Collection to the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri.
It is worth mentioning that UNESCO published this Collection in six thematic volumes which necessitated forty years of work.
During an official ceremony held today in Paris, “ISESCO/OCIS Prize for Educators” was granted to UNESCO, as a recognition by ISESCO and the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) of the publication of this Collection which is considered as an important reference on the Islamic civilization and an appropriate platform for dialogue among cultures and followers of religions.
