ISESCO to participate in international conference on Literacy in a Digital World, Paris
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) will take part in the international conference on the theme “Literacy in a Digital World”, to be held by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in Paris, on 8 September 2017, to mark the International Literacy Day’s celebration.
The conference aims to deepen understanding of the literacy skills for navigation in a digital world and their importance in literacy teaching and learning; share and analyze promising practices with regard to policies and programmes that monitor, evaluate and finance literacy in a digital world; and explore how digital technologies can support progress towards Sustainable Development Goal 4, especially Target 4.6 on youth and literacy.
ISESCO will be represented in this conference by Ms Samia Djacta, Liaison Officer at ISESCO Permanent Delegation to UNESCO.
