ISESCO Director General receives President of Tunisian National Authority for Fight against Corruption
The Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, today in his office, received the President of the National Authority for Fight against Corruption in the Republic of Tunisia, Mr Chawki Tabib.
During this meeting, Mr Tabib briefed the Director General on the outcomes of the “1st Regional Forum on Governance Culture and Culture Governance in the Arab-Islamic World: What Common Strategic Vision?”, which was co-organized by ISESCO. Moreover, the parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation relations between ISESCO and the Authority in areas of common interest and agreed to implement joint projects in the fields of culture governance in the Member States in the coming years.
In addition, Mr Tbib presented the Director General with a certificate of appreciation in the name of the Authority and on behalf of the Tunisian Minister of Culture, in recognition of his leading efforts and achievements in promoting joint Islamic action. He also offered him a set of the Authority’s latest legal publications in the anti-corruption field.
For his part, ISESCO Director General expressed his satisfaction with the Forum’s outcomes and thanked the Authority and the Tunisian Ministry of Culture for their good cooperation with the Organization. He also reiterated his keenness to strengthen cooperation with the Authority.
Later, ISESCO and the Authority signed a MoU providing for implementing joint projects and programmes in areas of common interest, especially governance culture, will be implemented, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Arab Maghreb Union, Mr Taïeb Baccouche, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr Mohamed Najem Gharsalli.
