Cooperation agreement between ISESCO and Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation
A Cooperation Agreement between the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation was signed today in Doha, by Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, ISESCO Director General and Dr Saeed Bin Mothkar Al-Hajri, Board Member and Chief Executive of the Foundation.
The agreement provides for cooperation between the two parties to achieve their mutual goals through the implementation of joint projects, programmes and activities on the promotion of education, culture and communication; foster social and humanitarian work; boost teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers; promote dialogue between cultures, civilizations and religions; revive, safeguard and spread Islamic heritage; celebrate Islamic civilization’s prominent figures and publicize their contributions throughout history; and address the issues of people with special needs.
It is worth noting that Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation was founded in 2001, with a mission that includes caring for widows, divorced women, orphans, the elderly and people with disabilities. The Foundation also provides educational and religious services for Muslim communities with limited financial resources, as well as humanitarian, charitable, relief and medical services for people in distress as a result of drought, famines, and natural and human disasters.
