In celebration of International Women’s Day: ISESCO to hold Meeting of Presidents of its Chairs for Women in Science and Technology
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), will hold a meeting of presidents of Chairs for Women in Science and Technology on 7-9 March 2017, at its headquarters in Rabat, in celebration of the International Women’s Day which is held every year on March 8th.
The Meeting aims at identifying obstacles and challenges facing female supervisors of ISESCO chairs and proposing ways to overcome them, in such a way as to encourage their participation in scientific activities. The Meeting will also seek to highlight the importance of empowering women scientists, strengthen their role in scientific research and increase their presence in all scientific fields.
In the same vein, the Meeting will explore ways to organize scientific meetings for outstanding women scientists to enable them to exchange expertise in order to create the suitable environment to showcase their expertise in scientific fields and pursue their ambitions in scientific research and innovation.
Will participate in the event the presidents of ISESCO Chairs for Women in Science and Technology in Pakistan and the Comoros, as well as experts from Cote D’Ivoire and Tunisia.
