The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS), today in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signed a Cooperation Programme for the years 2017-2018. The Programme was signed by ISESCO Director General, Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, and ABEGS Director General, Dr Ali bin Abdulkhaliq Al-Karni.
The cooperation programme includes organizing a seminar on innovative teaching methods and use of ICT in vocational and technical education, an educational forum on curriculum digitization, and a regional workshop on designing technical and vocational education curricula and programmes, adapted to the job market needs.
On this occasion, Dr Abdulaziz Altwaijri offered ISESCO Gold Wissam to Dr Ali bin Abdulkhaliq Al-Karni.
It is worth noting that ISESCO and ABEGS had first signed a cooperation agreement in 1987, which was renewed in 2003. The agreement led to the implementation of several projects, programmes and cooperation activities for the benefit of Member States in educational fields.
