National Commissions Secretaries General of Palestine, Kuwait, Burkina Faso and Cote d’Ivoire hold working sessions with number of ISESCO General Directorate Officials

National Commissions Secretaries General of Palestine, Kuwait, Burkina Faso and Cote d’Ivoire hold working sessions with number of ISESCO General Directorate Officials

As from today, the new Secretaries General of the National Commissions of Education, Culture and Sciences in Palestine, Kuwait, Burkina Faso, and Cote d’Ivoire are holding meetings with a number of officials at ISESCO’s General Directorate.

In the beginning of these meetings, ISESCO Deputy Director General, Dr Amina Al-Hajri, at her office today morning, received Ms Nadia Jassem Al Wazzan, Chargé d’affaires of the Secretary General of the Kuwaiti National Commission; Mr Murad Rezqallah Abderrazzak Doha (Murad Al Sudani), Secretary General of the Palestinian National Commission; Mr Aristide Dabire, Secretary General of Burkina Faso National Commission, and Mr Cisse Seindou, the National Correspondent of Cote d’Ivoire National Commission. Talks during these meetings focused on cooperation between ISESCO and the competent parties in these countries within the framework of the implementation of the Three-Year Action Plan (2016-2018).

The meetings’ programme includes working sessions with the officials of the Directorate of the Cabinet, the Directorate of Financial Affairs, the Directorate of Education, the Directorate of Social and Human Affairs, the Directorate of External Relations and Cooperation, the General Secretariat of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), the Directorate of Science and Technology, the Directorate of Culture, the Directorate of Administrative Affairs, the Center of Planning, Information, Documentation and Publishing, ISESCO Center for Promotion of Scientific Research, the Center of Media and Communication, and the Office of the Financial Controller.

During these meetings, the new Secretaries General will take stock of the mechanisms and ways of preparing and implementing ISESCO’s programmes and activities, and discuss activity areas proposed for implementation in their countries during the year of 2017.

At the end of these meetings, an assessment working session will be held with the Director of the Secretariat of the Executive Council, the General Conference and Specialized Ministerial Conferences.

It is worth mentioning that these meetings are part of ISESCO’s implementation of the programme of the visit of the new Secretaries General of the National Commissions of the Member States to ensure contact and promote cooperation with these Commissions for further communication and coordination in the implementation of programmes and activities of the Three-Year Action Plan (2016-2018).
