ISESCO to hold regional workshop on climate change impact on water resources and desertification, Tunis
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) is holding a regional workshop to review studies on the impact of climate change on water resources and desertification, on 8 - 11 May 2012 in Tunis.
As well as reviewing and assessing recent scientific studies on the effects of climate change on water resources, the workshop aims to allow for expertise exchange among scientists, researchers, experts and consultants on integrated management of water resources, identify the real causes of global warming and its impact on the environment , especially on water resources, look into ways to develop plans, strategies and legislation to address the acute shortage of water resources, solve international crises in shared basins and combat desertification.
ISESCO will be represented in this event by Dr Hatem Mohamed Mekhemer, Expert at the Science Directorate.
