Anelca is looking for
Spiritual
Salvation in Islam
Nicolas
Anelca, the French football player in the Spanish club
Real Madrid, looks for spiritual salvation in studying
Islam in preparation of embracing it.
The British
popular newspaper “The Mirror” has recently reported
that Anelca is hoping to acquire the spiritual strength
that would help him improve his luck with the Spanish
team, Real Madrid, by turning to Allah.
Anelca, the
French striker whom Real Madrid bought from the English
club, Arsenal, for about 23 million sterling pounds, is
currently studying Islamic Sharia in preparation of
converting to Islam and becoming a Muslim committed to
his new religion’s teachings.
Anelca said
that the matter of embracing Islam was a private one
whose details he liked to keep to himself, yet he
admitted that he was studying the Islamic religion for
the purpose of knowing its teachings as a Muslim in the
future. He went on to say that a large number of French
players, who were less than 21 years, were studying
Islam together for the purpose of converting to it and
considered it as a spiritual salvation for them in a
materialistic world which made them suffer from
psychological trouble and spiritual vacuum.
