Introduction
This small book is one of a trio which tries to picture the
contest in the world now and before and to link up this
contest with its roots which, in my opinion, are religious.
The world, especially in the West, has embarked upon a
course which is fraught with perils to the human species.
The
course of conflict in the West is, to me, religious in
origin, rooted in the subconscious of the Western mind.
Fear, in the subconscious, is the major factor, and it is
basically religious.
There seems to be a contrast between the West and Islam in
the matter of fear, and this may have been the reason that
Islam calls for egalitarianism, peaceful coexistence,
justice, and no racism. These tenets have now no part to
play in the international arena which is dominated by lust
for money and lust for power, with no morality and justice.
The
part in this book on the origins of war is not conclusive,
because I feel that it needs a special treatment separately,
to include the subjects of jihad and terrorism.
In
the end, I have to say that in this book I have tried to be
objective as much as possible.
